We chose this cruise because of the convenience of embarking from NYC, visiting fantastic European ports and being well within our budget. Crossing the Atlantic was not as rough as we expected because when we crossed in 2015, we had to hold the railings as we walked. Probably because we wore those patches for dizziness no one got seasick in my group.

The entertainment on the NCL Breakaway was very good especially Burn the Floor. The activities in the atrium were limited but the dance classes by a member of Burn the Floor was super fun. We also loved the Rockaway Duo and we were always at their shows in the atrium. The public places in this ship are few unlike the NCL Joy.

As expected, there was a lot of food and I just love that the buffet had real ice cream for free! I’m not a foodie so if I think something I chose was tasteless, I just add a bit of salt and pepper and I’m good. We did try Cagney’s once and not being a steak connoisseur, I can’t judge the quality of the cut.

Cabin Review

Our inside cabin fulfilled our needs: a place to sleep, take a shower, store our luggage. We never stayed in the cabin anyway even when we had a balcony in the NCL Joy, when we cruised to Bermuda last June 2022. The cabin was always clean because James our attendant is super efficient.
