Encore was the first cruise to Alaska in May. We boarded in May 7 Sunday morning at the Seattle Pier. First we at the pier to line up at 8:30ish and dropped off our luggage next to the line. There was a line of people before we arrived. Next the line to check our passport wasn’t too bad. Then we walked further to check in at the desk and waited for group to be called. Soon we walked up the tramway to board the ship. Right away we had to report to reporting station and scan our card. Then we were free to walk around the ship. Our balcony room was nice on the 14th floor close to buffet and observation lounge. It got rocky several nights toward end in Skagsway to Victoria. The Glacier bay was my favorite and going to bow to see glaciers.

Hits

-The observation lounge was nice with great view of ocean, available snacks and water was provided

Cabin Review

balcony room toward the front of ship was clean. Our steward did a nice job of cleaning once a day. There was 2 beds and sofa turned bed. The hangars in the closet was hard to reach due to the sofa turned bed. The bed was comfortable and firm.

Port Reviews

Juneau

We rented a car and drove to Mendenhall glacier and Costco. It was enough time to drive around Juneau
