We picked this cruise to go to Iceland & Norway and wanted extra days at sea to relax. Due to the weather we missed 3 of the scheduled ports in Iceland, however I cannot blame Princess for this. What did impress us was what they did with all these unscheduled days at sea. The entertainment crew sent a new daily planner with many extra things to do for these sea days. The ship also gave us future credit for our inconvenience. Now for the ship- sparkling, with so many venues that we nor anyone else could get to them all. Having dinner, then going to the shows (Production shows should not be missed- they truly are Broadway quality), then going to one of 4 lounges (Jazz, Pop/Rock/ violin/ Piano/Trivia (fun and staff were entertaining and funny) we could not get to some, even with 14 days! Since it was very cold, the outdoor decks were rendered useless, yet we found things to do during the day. We have been on ships that had 1-3 things to do, this is not Princess- there are MANY things to do! The food was excellent, we saw no need to spend extra for a specialty restaurant and never did. They even have an included Italian restaurant named Alfredos which was very good, and the pool side Pizza rivaled some of the best NY pizza we have eaten. Princess caters to an older crowd, so may not be best for young families, you are not going to see all the bells & whistles of NCL or RC, and that is what we want. We have sailed Celebrity and like them very much, however Princess we feel is equal and perhaps better in some areas. The only negatives- NO happy hours, etc, drinks are full price all the time. The desserts need some change- almost all are mousse based we yearned for a cake! All in all we will be back on Princess.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Had a mini suite- was roomiest one we ever had at sea.
