Here are the issues that occurred.
We showed up for their fine dining and were told they did not have a reservation. I had the app on my phone as well and I could see the reservation at 6 pm on Friday, May 12, 2023. The staff did not offer to double check, call anyone or offer an alternative, We were not able to participate in that special event due to an error on Holland America’s part.
While on the cruise, towards the end, the cabin steward threw out a bag of souvenirs that were purchased in Juneau.They were in a bag from Holland America and not near the garbage. Holland America reimbursed them the monetary value of some of the items as they could not be replaced. I had also purchased a coat on the ship and the zip off hood was in that bag. I asked if I could have a new coat or a hood off of one of the coats in the store. I was told that it was not possible. The cabin steward threw it away so Holland America certainly can, and should replace the hood to the coat.
The cabin steward through away the hood of a coat I bought on board and a bag of souvenirs from Juneau. They would not replace the coat, or just the hood. It was their error.
