We choose to do a back to back (this was the first leg of the trip) on the Queen Elizabeth having previously (pre-pandemic) traveled on the Queen Mary on a transatlantic. We were a bit hesitant given the wonderful time we had on the Queen Mary, trying to manage expectations etc., but we were totally and completely overjoyed with the Queen Elizabeth.

Cabin: Penthouse Queens Grill....spacious and well laid out. Nice location to everything including laundry facilities. Staircase B is central and links to everything and this was located a short walk away from the cabin itself. Our butler and room attendant were fabulous (Andres and Jerik) and kept us well appointed and on schedule. The bed was fantastically comfortable (and I am super picky on this point) being neither to soft or hard. Pillows, well, this took a bit of time to sort out, but once we discovered that there were two pillows to a case, all was smooth sailing. We slept like babies..... Balcony was huge and very nice indeed...deck furniture was a bit salty (the seas were a bit high at times and spray happens), but nothing that a beach towel didn't solve. The only con of the cabin was the sofa which doubled as a pull out. It was hard and low to the ground, not terribly comfortable at all.

Food: We ate the majority of our meals in the Queens Grill and well, what can you say other than it was fantastic. We were not left wanting for anything and appreciate the efforts that our servers made on our behalf. The food was very well prepared, tasty and thoughtful....and kudos to the chef for the low sugar desserts, truly and without a lie, the BEST we've ever had....still having thoughts about the blueberry compote trifle. The patio dining in Queen's Grill was just wonderful and we took advantage of it for lunch service whenever weather permitted.
