This was our first time cruising Norwegian. We chose Norwegian because our previous experience with Carnival was so bad. The positives were that the Escape had solid cuisine, good balcony rooms with an obstructed view, and decent entertainment options. However, the walking track was incredibly small and located in a high traffic area. You'll find it challenging to exercise on this cruise ship. Other ships have great walking tracks, and the Escape's track just sucks. The fitness center is decent, but it could use a serious upgrade. It's also small. The slides closed really early. If my kids wanted to slide after dinner or at night, then they couldn't. It was a big disappointment. There are only two slides and the lines were hellaciously long. The cleanliness of the ship wasn't great either. Finally, the drink package wasn't great. Most of the drinks had little alcohol, and was mostly just sugar. Overall our experience was mediocre and we definitely wouldn't sail on the Escape again.
