This cruise was a last min memorial trip. We have been on 20+ cruises/various ships RCL, NCL, Carnival and Disney. Did Carnival same itinerary 2022 memorial and had a great time. RCL this was by far the worst cruise experience. Embark Day: prk lot 80% full but they refuse to let anymore cars in even with handicap they directed us to a lot blocks away and we had to wait for a shuttle take us to the terminal. A 100+ people in line, 2 small shuttles, we had to uber to terminal. If u dont arrive early u may miss the boat. Chk in time 12 & due to prking we didn't board til almost 3. Entertainment is very week, breakfast was disgusting everything taste like Palmolive incl the bacon (maybe they didnt rinse pans), balcony room okay but cabin outdated, no channels have to pay for movies, wait service is mediocre barely anyone taking drink orders in bar lounges hardly anyone taking orders by pools, kids club was good 8 yr old enjoyed it, ship too crowded and not enough staff to support the number of people on board, too many up charges, no seafood incl, no lobster night like all other cruises. Paid $72 for Johnny Rockets for 4 burgers with fries and 3 shakes thats an outrageous upcharge and it was thin patty and bland burger. 2nd day found free burgers at windjammers that were thick and juicy so felt stupid for thr $72. Carnival has Guy burgers freshly made with unlimited toppings for free so RCL u need to do better to compete. Ice show good but who wants to see over again. Wifi was actually good and easy, wings were good but not free, dinner staff hum drum and robotic, forgot our drinks both nights, barely refilled our glasses, didn't remember our personal preferences from the night before (Disney has mastered the art of making you feel royal) and pushed us for a review of 10. Head waiter had nerve to say 10 doesn't mean perfect but it means we did our best like huh do I seem slow? 10 means outstanding, above and beyond not mediocre. If you gave outstanding service then I would rate it as such. Husband had to debark early 8am to take the shuttle and go get the car. He didn't pick us up until 930. Overall I feel like I was in twilight zone alot of people have great reviews but im going to say RCL is now at the bottom of my list. The kids sail free advertisement is just a gimmick since the total is approx the same on carnival for same itinerary. Besides the water slide and indoor mall looking esthetics don't waste your time with RCL just go with carnival it's a better value anf experience overall.

Cabin Review

Spacious Ocean View Balcony

Clean but very outdated so gives off a dingy and dirty appearance.
