We had very high expectations for this cruise, but we were left disappointed, mainly from Norwegian. Alaska itself was AMAZING which is why we are giving 2 stars. This was our first time taking a Norwegian cruise because we typically take Carnival out of Galveston (we live in Texas). When we first booked our cruise the staff was not very helpful, our "agent" did not answer our calls and our flights were unorganized and a bunch of hidden fees were added after we had already paid in full. When we finally did get through they said "it was an error". The cruise was extremely packed, the majority of our time on the cruise was spent waiting in lines and looking for places to sit. Also the staff on the cruise was rude, daily, and constantly rushing. I understand bad days, but being treated the way we were while on vacation was not ideal. There was a lot of cutting in line, people pushing their way in, and shoving (no manners at all, so be ready) which is not something you can control, but it still that did not help make the trip any better. We don't usually experience that on other cruises, so that was different for us, people are friendlier in the South. They did shut down the stairs and forced everyone to take the elevators during disembarkation that created A LOT of traffic and people forcing their way in front of each other. There were not very many things to do on this ship during sea days and no activities aboard like basketball or dodgeball. Another thing that was odd was that all the shops closed super early the day prior, as well as the complimentary restaurants, only the paid for restaurants were open (how convenient). Victoria, BC is very nice, however there is hardly anytime to do anything and there are a total of 3 trips at this port ALL AT THE SAME TIME, there is a lot of traffic and little time. So, in summary I would definitely recommend Alaska, it is beautiful, but I DO NOT recommend this cruise. I doubt I'd ever take a Norwegian cruise again. For the cost, it was not worth it.

Cabin Review

Mid-ship Balcony Stateroom

Our cabin was small, but clean as well as the cruise itself. That may be the only benefit. The views from our balcony were nice as well.
