We arrived back from our med cruise on the Thomson Dream today after a week on board. I want to do this today while I can still remember everything, hopefully this will help others the way previous reviews have helped us.

So I'll skip over the flight and only mention that we were delayed leaving Manchester and ended up about 1.5 hrs late into Palma airport. Then the fun began, for those that have been there before they will know what I mean when I say Palma is chaotic, when you get off the plane you walk through the departure lounge which was heaving, just follow the exit signs and you should be ok. We got through passport control easily and went to baggage claim. This part was so busy that it was difficult to move through the room. It appears that Thomson have a regular thing of 3 flights from Manchester landing within 5 mins of each other, I think this and the lack of the organisation at Palma create the baggage issues. Ourselves and all others from our flight were waiting on our marked conveyor for ages some bags came then stopped, in my boredom waiting I was watching the other conveyors not really looking when low and behold my bright pink bag was going round in front of me. My husband went and found our other bag on the other conveyor. We started telling other people to look on the other conveyors and most found their bags too. I have to thank others for mentioning this before so I was aware it might happen. So be watchful when you get there or you could be stood for ages. Anyway the transfer from the airport to the boat was quick and painless. Embarkation took about an hour but I think we got there at the right time or this could have been a lot longer.

Got on board smelling down every stair well and corridor as we went, we did have to find our own cabin as there were staff at the entrance but were trying to help older people I think. We only had an inside as this was all that was left due to only booking a week before departure. It was clean but worn, bedding wasn't stained but pool towels were. I was so pleased I had done my research and knew what to look for. The room was a bit warm so we turned the aircon down to the lowest and went to look around. Our luggage arrived after 2hrs and we started to unpack. We had been up since midnight to catch our flight so we turned in early and went straight to sleep. Next day was day at sea, didn't find any problems with getting a sun bed the staff will move them for you if you ask, people do reserve them with towels though.
