The Grandeur of the Seas is by far the worse ship I’ve ever been on by FAR. It was rumored that this ship was going to be retired a few years ago and it should have. I am not sure what sparked the decision to keep it floating and running trips—especially a 7 day cruise, but that was by far the worse decision you could’ve made from a customer perspective.

The entire ship is old and raggedy, and I’m not here for listening to anything about “good bones” because it’s not enough. The ship had a supposed revamp sometime 2012 if I am not mistaken, but I am having a difficult time figuring out where these upgrades were put in.

The rooms were dingy, when I first walked into my room my sheets were YELLOW. Which for obvious reasons is concerning, especially since you can tell they were suppose to be white. The bathroom is so egregiously small that my knees touch sink when using the bathroom and i am 5’3. The shower curtain was disgusting yellow, and then bottom of it was a brown color, it looks like it hasn’t been changed or cleaned in YEARS. The only saving grace was our room attendant—Charlie, he was amazing, and there was nothing he didn’t try to make us feel more comfortable.
