Fourteen day Cruise of lifetime and expectations too high. Loved previous river cruise before Covid. This one was beyond disappointing. Staff not fully trained. Shore excursions not setup well actually lost a person on tour. Food mediocre (unable to cut through steak or muffin for Benedict; inconsistent drinks at pool bar; fish offerings tough or chewy, speciality restaurants certainly not special). Spa staff not on hand to assist with lockers, robe and room key stolen. Covid rampant, coughing everywhere and both of us tested positive. Viking Air of little assistance on 26 hour return home due to cancellations and delays ( made over 20 calls in 1 day for help). Luggage lost. Iceland Air partner systems antiquated and had multiple errors. The icing on the burnt cake was disembarkation. Viking personnel hard to find and few that were there were overloaded. No organization, no one directing passengers once off ship, no one….well anywhere. 90 minutes in freezing rain and wind. Where do we go. Who is helping? Where is the shuttle? No bathrooms off ship. Too bad they spent so much money making a pretty ship and not on training and follow up. The personnel are trying and attempting. Viking took a forever customer and turned then into a Never Again in a mere 14 days. Very sad.
