My family suggested this cruise for a family trip of 6, including a 17 month old.

Ocean Cay was beautiful. We enjoyed relaxing on our rafts we brought with us. The lagoon was perfect for the little one with nice calm waters and a lifeguard. The lines for a buffet were a little long, but there were several food choices, and we easily found a clean table. The water and iced tea are very salty. The lighthouse show at night was nice but the music was very loud. We took a stroll around the island after the show and could hear the party music half way across the island. Also, there was very little lighting on the other side of the island.

Entertainment- the dancers for the theater shows were extremely talented, but the shows all seemed the same singing and dancing often using the same costumes and dance moves. Loved the Elvis show with a one man performer that included audience participation. Only one band on board that played mostly Latin music. MSC’s idea of live music is a soundtrack with a keyboard player or guitar player somewhat playing along with the soundtrack and a singer. The duo in the atrium I found very annoying, it was loud, not very good and not appropriate for daytime. The one time they had piano music playing as background music was lovely. The Rock and Sunshine parties held in the atrium were lots of fun, but music was too loud. No place to dance with my husband, everything was for singles.

Cabin Review

Balcony room, deck 12 - stains on carpet and sofa, not a lot of storage area, no outlet in bathroom, bedding was clean and comfortable.

Port Reviews

Costa Maya

Port area was very crowded and difficult to find your way around. We wanted to go to Mahaluha. We walked, safe to walk down the Main Street. Had a wonderful massage for $20. Shop owners are very pushy and overpriced. Beach area is very small and taken up by other cruise lines.
