We chose this trip since we had visited Prague several times and lived in Berlin for three years (1988-1991). We were also intrigued by the itinerary's stops at lesser known places like Dresden, Miessen, and Wittenberg. Although we knew that Berlin and Dresden had grown and modernized, the changes were dramatic. The views from the Reichtag's cupola are spectacular and worth the wait to get tickets (free) if you don't arrange for them ahead of time online. We stayed on our own three additional nights and did not come close to seeing all the things we wanted to in Berlin. We could not take the Tempelhof Central Airport (TCA) tour as it fills up quickly well in advance. However, the photo exhibit in the old arrivals/departure area is quite good with many pictures I had not seen even in my three years stationed at TCA. The airfield runways etc were turned into a park/bike tril after closing in 2008 and many of the facilities are occupied with low income/refugee housing now. Unfortunately I could not visit the area where my office had been, even on the tour.
Just scratched the museum surface with half a day in Neues Museum.
The food choices are almost overwhelming, ranging from fine dining to street food, i.e., think Doner Kebab, curry wurst!
Excellent, roomy, great bed. Enjoyed views from balcony.
