The idea of taking the cruise was to visit Amsterdam beforehand and cruise along Norway villages were the two countries that we wanted to visit for the longest time. We were disappointed with how old the ship was, everything is outdated. The $32 fee a day for a couple is for room cleaning but the toilet area ALWAYS smells like urine.

The service in the Tides restaurant was excellent, though all the menu meals and buffet food were very salty. Some of us just can't have salty food. When the food is cooked salty, low-sodium dinners are screwed.

The Customer Service and the entertainment areas are disasters. Once the bands are playing, it's impossible to hear what customer service reps were saying. Kids and toddlers were running around in the Centrum area while adults were drinking and dancing, not a good mix. See the pictures attached. RC upper management team needs to fix this issue before someone gets seriously injured.

Port Reviews

Olden

Olden is a beautiful village. The speedboat excursion was awesome. The local folks at the port welcomed us with open arms. It was an emotional farewell that they did for our ship as well. I love this little town.

Alesund

It was a nice trip to the aquarium, got to see lots of ocean creatures. City tour informative.

Flam

Cute little town. The Viking Village is interesting. Tvinde Waterfall was beautiful. It's a big waterfall. The panoramic Stegastein view was amazing. The bus ride up the troll road was a little nerve-breaking though but worth the trip.

Geiranger

The worst port of all five. You must take the tender to port to take your excursion. It could take you about 45 mins to get out of the ship to get on land, and coming back could take up to 90 mins. Tender is not a fan.

Molde

Royal canceled my "Best of Molde" excursion so not much to say here except the "Atlantic Ocean Road" tour. Personally, this tour is NOT worth it. An hour bus ride to see the bridge, and you got to spend 15 mins here, if you use the restroom or get something to drink or eat, you'll have 2 mins to see the "007 No Time to Die" bridge. Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful bridge. Another hour bus ride to see the "ship anchor" for 15 mins, not impressive. Another hour bus ride back to Molde town, the bus takes you around town for about 20-30 mins. After spending 3 hours on a bus ride, by the time we got back to the ship, we were so exhausted with motion sickness, almost throw up. We DO NOT recommend this excursion tour at all.
