We chose this cruise because of the itinerary (Greek Islands). But the food options were just terrible. No central dining room just a cafe. You get to "look" at the food but then you have to go sit and wait 5-10 minutes for a waiter. Then it takes 15-30 minutes to get your food that is cold by the time it gets there. Really stupid. They stated Virgin did not want "buffet" food because they wanted it fresh. Well that is a lie. It is all pre-prepped food siting on pans and pots like a buffet but you have to get a waiter to get it for you. Just dumb. That takes way too many staff and they have language issues and poor training and some just seriously bad attitudes. I sat at the kitchen bar about 48 inches from the breakfast food. Ordered 2 hash browns and some bacon. Dude took my order and then ran off somewhere. I was like "hey its right there cant you just grab it". We found another waiter and they failed to tell us we had to wait in line for other orders and it would be 40 minutes (for hash browns). Just stupid. And the selection was just gross. Burgers were burned and buns were stale and not warmed. Breakfast was exactly like cold buffet food but you had to wait a long time. Really dumb.

And even worse, the other non-reservation food choices are limited and close early. The bar that had good appetizers closed at 630pm at night. REALLY? So you can only order drinks no food. What kind of crap is that? Almost all bars on other ships stay open until 11pm or later. And then pizza place does not even open until 2pm. Seriously? What if I wanted a pizza for lunch. Sorry gotta wait. And then so many orders are being called in you have to wait 45 minutes to get a 5 minute pizza. Very very disappointing food options for such an expensive ship.

Also the public area restrooms are very small and have maybe 1 or 2 stalls. Not great when coming out of a venue/show and have to wait in line or go all the way back to your room. Read more
