Very disappointed with NCL on our latest cruise. The ship was dated, should have done our homework on this ship first, yes our fault but not only that the ship broke down in Colombia, no electric which meant no air con, extremely hot in Columbia! We had to stay in port overnight but 2 full days there! Was allowed off the Ship but nowhere to go, no shuttle buses were put on, Columbia a bit of a shady place at dark so didnt really want to get off a second time! This was an industrial port so you couldnt just get off and walk around you had to take a local bus or taxi! We understand these things happen but unfortunately this had a knock on effect of our itinery which meant we had to cancel Costa Rica and Nicaragua they did give us one alternative of Colon in Panama and $100 on board credit. Gutted about Costa Rica as this is one of the ports that attracted us to the cruise!

Not all staff were friendly! Could not fault the food and the staff in the restaurant! Gratuities on the ship were far too heavy $20 per day per person! That added an extra $800 on our holiday! This seriously needs review by NCL! The excursions were far too expensive! The information about shuttle buses were not relayed enough to the passengers and nobody knew if these were laid on at each port. Lack of information from the Captain about where we were etc would have been quite reassuring to hear from him especially with regard to the breakdown of the ship. Entertainment needs a revamp, there were 2 nights out of the whole trip that we could say we enjoyed in the theatre!

If you were a drinker or a smoker and like playing card games this ship would be ideal for you.
