The crew were wonderful: happy, friendly, accommodating, helpful. The food was quite good. The ship: not so much.

Norwegian Sky is a smaller ship which we prefer. It did not feel crowded. Waiting, if any, was minimal. The ship was well maintained. It was the layout and utilization which wasn't so great. And the decor was pretty bland.

The casino opened out into the Atrium on Deck 7, filling the atrium with noxious and nauseating cigarette smoke. Unfortunately, a couple of small venue musicians were forced to use an alcove of the Atrium on Deck 7 for their recurring performances. There was seating only for 16-20 people. There were other alcoves where one could sit and still hear the music, but unfortunately the casino smoke permeated the entire Atrium, making it unpleasant to sit and listen, as well as unhealthy. After a couple of evenings of this, we gave up. Another problem was that the Bliss lounge also opened into the atrium, and the music of another band playing in the Bliss was constantly in competition with the quieter performers. By the way, we really liked Alexa (who played piano) and Leoh (whose singing repertoire was extensive).
