Our 14 night Viking Grand European Tour River Cruise was absolutely perfect in every way - the riverboat Viking Egdir is maintained in excellent condition and appeared to be as new as the day it was built. All facilities were always kept super clean. Our veranda stateroom was luxurious, very comfortable and very quiet. It also included a heated floor in the shower and bathroom, a super quiet mini-refrigerator, was equipped with several dual 110 Volt and 220 Volt electrical outlets, and had a private outdoor balcony with two chairs and a table. Every day there was a variety of delicious meals to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The daily shore excursions were excellent, they were always well coordinated, well planned and led by very knowledgeable and entertaining tour guides. It was clear to me that Viking's main goal is to ensure that each and every Viking passenger experiences the best possible cruise. I think that what also sets Viking apart from and above other cruise lines is Viking's employees. All Viking employees, regardless of their role, are highly customer focused, proactive and always ready to help passengers with any question or request in a very professional and positive manner. Every Viking employee I spoke to was proud to work for Viking and it was clearly evident that each employee felt a strong sense of ownership in striving to provide each passenger with the best possible customer service experience in the cruise business. We greatly enjoyed our Viking River Cruise and I highly recommend the Viking Grand European Tour River Cruise!
