Always wanted to see Scandinavia. Grandfather was born in Oslo, Norway. Overall the cruise was non-stop luxury and interesting activities. My wife and I signed up for several of the included excursions and also paid for several special excursions that put us in close contact with the locals. Visit to a Norwegian Farm, and Waffle and Coffee at a Norwegian home were two of the best excursions we had. Since we can not walk very long distances, we kept the excursion choices to Easy and Moderate. Ship had excellent gym equipment which I made use of every few days. No need to use it more than that because I needed to save a little energy for all the excursions.

Weather was cold (45-50 F) at first and it turned very windy in the Baltic for a couple of days. Captain kept the vessel steady and comfortable even though winds were high. The Viking Tour Director and staff had to rearrange a few stops because of the weather. They did a great job of keeping us informed of the changes.

We had 900 passengers and 450 crew. Entertainment on the ship was excellent. Did not need to attend many shows, but what we did attend was well done. Live music in the tea room or the atrium was always pleasant.
