Cruised with Azamara before, greatly enjoyed the ship and staff. The tours stand out for us, immersing you in the local culture more than their compeditors. Veranda cabin was laid out well. The shp was at maximum capacity, but you would never know it. Food was excellent in the buffets and main dining hall, never found a need to visit the specialty restaurants. Entertainment was good, but limited by the size of facilities on board the ship, there isn't a multi story stage found in the large ships. Don't miss the white night party, it's a blast.
A week before sailing, realized we hadn't recieved tickets or any type of confirmation after we paid in full last January. Reached out by website and by phone (4 hours at a time on hold) every day had zero response. Seriously wondered if they had gone out of buisness. Left home not knowing if we could board the ship. Based on pre-cruise stress we can't recommend Azamara to others, not sure if we'll return.
The old town was a bit congested with cruise tours (3 other ships were in harbor that day). Had a great lunch just outside the old walls, a restaurant with a great view.
