We chose the cruise to meet up with family from the UK and to visit Japan for the first time. This was our first time on Azamara. The embarkation in Hong Kong was chaotic. Most staff are a delight and go out of their way to help; a few should find another occupation.

We only did two ship's tours and they were excellent. Our main complaint was the lack of port information before we docked. Luckily the local tourist authorities provided a lot of useful information when we disembarked. Also guest lectures not about ports.

At times food in Compass Rose was mediocre and other times very good. With all the Indian staff on board we complained that there was no Indian themed buffet. This was remedied and it was excellent. Specialty restaurants were good but not outstanding. Most of complimentary wine was good.

Cabin Review

Club Continent Suite

It was worthwhile paying for the extra space and butler service. We didn't want to be very near the back but glad we were as the noise from engines along corridor for at least 15 cabins was excessive.
