Sail Date: Jul 2010
Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony

We got on the ship easily at 12 noon, but were told our rooms would not be ready till 2pm. This was fine as my wife and I found a spot on deck and relaxed with a tropical drink. We knew it would be expensive, but thought we would do it anyway since it was our honeymoon. When our room was ready at about 3pm we checked in and it was as we thought. It was clean, had a nice balcony and enough room to store our stuff.

We were a little put off by the crew members that stationed themselves at the entrance to the ALoha lounge and tried to push hand sanitizer on us. Also, we found it very unusual that there was no place to eat or even get a drink of water besides the Cadillac Diner. We have sailed with Carnival before and could get pizza or ice cream, water and fruit punch at anytime of the day or night.

The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the service, even though they did try to push the drinks a bit. I was a bit disappointed when we went into the Mardi Gras lounge one night to catch a show and when I asked for just a coffee, I was charged for it and it was served to me in a wine glass.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

We seemed to have enough room for the two of us. The closet and drawers were ample and the balcony was nice because it was in the 10th deck it had a covering from the 11th so it was great in case it rained. The only draw back was the sliding door on the balcony was horrible to open and my wife haqd trouble doing it by herself.
