We are Jimmy Buffet fans and live in Florida. My husband decided to gift himself the short cruise for his birthday. We are seasoned cruisers of Celebrity so we lowered our expectations based on other reviews. When you book this cruise it’s a good idea to choose some sort of boarding upgrade. We chose the basic Faster Chill. This gave us priority check-in and boarding. We suggest checking your bags at curbside. Anything you don’t check will be carried around until your floor is open and you can get to your room. Your room won’t be available until 2-3:00. Have a bathing suit under clothes or with you if you want. After check-in, we stopped at the restaurant counter in the terminal and chose early seating which is 6:00-6:30….otherwise it’s 8:30-9:00. Ugh! We got to wait in the VIP lounge with snacks and boarding first with the other VIPs. Worth the price! Especially walking past everyone without VIP. Your lunch is in the buffet and was fine. We opted for regular dining as the Steak House up charge was $49 pp and ridiculous. Portions for dinner are smaller than normal. We did stop at a bar before dinner and had our drinks without waiting. We did not book excursions. We took the taxi to Lucaya Marketplace. Waiting for taxi took a few as they need 8 per taxi and the ride was 45 minutes as they stopped at beach first. The trip is now $14pp round trip. You pay going and get chits for return. We got back in 20 minutes on the return. The marketplace is typical local goods. Do stop at the glass blower. I got handmade conch glass earring for $10. All and all cruise better than expected except for the old bathroom. Teeny shower with curtain so if you’ve cruised before you know to limit your alcohol before trying those shower stalls!

Cabin Review

My husband is a veteran so his cruise was gratis. Our cabin was right next to the elevators. Had we paid full price that would have bothered us but figured best cabins went to full priced cruisers.
