This was our first Viking Cruise, and it certainly won't be our last! We have done at least 8 ocean cruises, but this was our first river cruise as well. We loved every single thing about the trip - the Viking air travel, the ship, the pre-stay in Budapest, but most especially, the crew of the Viking Jarl. They were so friendly and attentive to every need. By the second day, the restaurant staff and our cabin steward knew our names and what we liked and didn't like. The Cruise Director, Taylor, was fabulous. We were impressed with all the meals that we had on board - breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

We also bought the Silver Spirits drink package and were glad we did - overall, the price was a bargain, the bar was extensive and we felt free to try some expensive Scotches that we had never had before. We had great weather and this made the excursions very enjoyable. Lastly, compared to our other cruises, we were totally impressed with Viking's no nickel and diming policy. No one took our picture and tried to sell it to us, no art auctions, no fees for restaurants, no future cruise sales. It was really wonderful not to have to deal with all that stuff. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience!
