We wanted to end in Amsterdam to see the Keukenhof gardens with Tulips at their peak. The timing was perfect. with guidance from the Viking travel agent who advised us. We did the pre-extension in Lucerne where we met several others from the cruise, and we formed friendships and were together for many of the excursions and meals. The views from the Mani were incredible, and the staff treated us as honored guests and gave us all the guidance we needed to enjoy the cruise and the excursions, The food was excellent, with many choices for each meal All of the staff were so cheerful and you could see they loved their jobs, they all wanted to interact with us, We would take another cruise with Viking. The pace was just right for us, with most of the included excursions in the morning, allowing us afternoons for resting and enjoying the amenities of the boat. We are an older couple; our younger friends did more of the extra excursions which suited them, and we were abloe to continue having meals together and share our experiences.
