This cruise visited places we'd like to see. The service onboard the ship was great. All of our local guides were very knowledgeable. The excursions that were available were very interesting. We liked the pre-cruise and post-cruise extensions. The ship was very nicely laid out. The food on the ship was very good. We liked he fact that there were no children on the cruise and that the total number of passengers was small. The upper deck provided an excellent vantage point to see points of interest on both sides of the river. The schedules were all kept which made the trip more pleasant.

We did have a problem with the Viking reservation system since we had signed up for several excursions and they did not show up on the reservation system on the ship or on the excursions listed on schedule for us on the TV in our room. They took care of this in a timely fashion, but it was a bit unnerving to start the cruise this way.
