This cruise was recommended by friends and it was our first Viking cruise. The ship is lovely. We found the highlight of the trip was our Program Director! He was funny, made up for the lack of spontaneity on the ship. We found temps in the dining room were inconsistent. The ship did not encourage diners to use sanitation stations. There was illness on the ship which was left to rumors amongst the passengers. We arrived home with COVID. Most of the ports were lovely as were most of the walking tours. The food was ok, some days it was hard to pick something, we would have liked to eaten on the Acquavite terrace, but the same people would go early and save all the tables. I will try an ocean cruise with Viking next. I probably will not choose a river cruise because time on the ship was mostly boring.
