This was our first cruise post-Covid, and honestly we had a really great time! We had read so many negative reviews that we were concerned, but happy to say we would gladly get right back on the Harmony if we could!! We have sailed Royal 6 or 7 times previously, all the way back to when there were still Midnight buffets and Ice sculptures so we have a lot to compare it to. We went into this hoping that we could still experience a restful and fun cruise experience despite how things have changed over time. We booked this cruise within a few months of sailing, so prices were higher on shorter notice, so for the first time in a long time we booked an Inside Gty. I thought “ how bad can it be?” Then we received our room assignment on …..Deck 3…. Uugh!!!! We had placed some Royalup bids in months prior, but had given up thought that we would ever get one since sail date was quickly approaching, AND balconies showed sold out. We began packing and we we’re going into it with an attitude of ‘hey- we are headed out on vacation we will make the best of it’. We were SO happy when 2 days before sailing we were notified that we had won our Oceanview Balcony bid on Deck 6! In a super great location! We printed our new luggage tags and off we went! Lesson learned: From now on we will book the cabin we will really be happy with to begin with and Royalup to make it even better.
*Check-in opens up 45 days before sail date, at midnight.
*Arriving at port, once our time was called took maybe 10 minutes before we were on the ship.
Oceanview Balcony on Deck 6. We will book that deck again, very convenient!
