I wanted to segue to a second cruise after my trans-atlantic on Regal Princess ended on 30 April in Southampton. This cruise was leaving same day from there. The price was excellent for a single studio and included beverages and internet. The 12 night itinerary included calls in Portugal, Spain, Madeira and Canary Islands. Due to physical limitations I would be happy staying on board.

The studio cabin was located on deck 13 near the midship elevators. It was small but well appointed. The Samsung hd tv was magnificent. There were USB ports as well as 2 each 110 and 220 volt outlets. The bathroom was normal cruise ship sized and enough drawer and closet space. A full sized bed that was very comfortable. There was daily housekeeping service in the morning and turn down service in the evening which has disappeared on the ships I sailed out of the US.

Compared to my sailing on the Divina, dining has vastly improved. The dining rooms are more spacious and lunch and dinner menus were more like a restaurant than mass produced cruise ship fare. I did breakfast at the buffet and dining room. The buffet did offer a bounty but it was noisy and crowded so I could make the dining room I would go there. The big problem is the only dining room used was all the way in the rear with no elevators servicing it. I was able to get a better located room for dinner. The problem there was no restrooms by it. You had to go to thr midship area. This is the type of situation cruise lines should have worked out during the design stage.
