We chose it because of Ravings about O’s food. 1. -The buffet always had a better variety than the MDR and the food was usually ok although the chef seems to fear spice. We were expecting food like the photos online..nope, unless you were in a specialty restaurant. + No charge for these, must make reservations. + room service was great… Food and service top notch in room service. + Lobster is plentiful if that’s your jam. + nice to have soft drinks and the coffee bar included in fare. -MDR and buffet don’t open for dinner until 6:30pm.

2. + no kids. + Not crowded. Deck chairs always available. Nice music by pool, no acid rock. :)

3. -cabin and balcony were as expected except for the bathroom which was teeny tiny. I am only 5’ tall 120 pounds and could hardly turn around in the shower. Steward Irena was very good. Lighting is ridiculously low in the bathroom and over the desk.

Port Reviews

Ensenada

Nothing at this port except people bugging you to buy stuff.

San Francisco

We took the BIG BUS which is right outside the port. Viator charges $69, the ship charges $59 and you can buy the ticket on the bus for $49. A great overview of SF with a 2.5 hour loop that crosses the golden gate bridge. Super cold and windy tho so be prepared.
