This was our second cruise on Celebrity. We had sailed on the lovely Solstice to Alaska a few years ago. I wanted to experience an Edge class ship. We chose the Beyond for what has become an annual anniversary cruise.
We loved the Magic Carpet, a bar that is suspended over the edge of the starboard side of the ship. It moved to various decks througout the cruise. It was underutilized on our cruise. We had our choice of couch seating every time we were there.
The pool area was quietly busy. The cruise staff hosted afternoon events, but there was no in your face loud or forced participation.
Cabin Review
Our bid from an infinite balcony to a concierge infinite balcony was accepted. The cabins are identical, but there are a few additional amenities included in concierge. Honestly, I would probably not upgrade to concierge again, but would try to get Aqua level because of the thermal suite access and their own restaurant, Blu.
We liked the infinite balcony, but many others do not. It is a variation on a balcony, with a window that is controlled by a button. If you keep the accordion style doors open it expands the room. Closed, you have a balcony.
The room was simple yet elegant. There was enough storage, and had good lighting and plenty of outlets. The bathroom offered upgraded toiletries. There was even an umbrella stashed away for use if it rained. Luckily it did not rain.
We were very satisfied with our cabin.
