Not pre-pandemic service and some amenities missing. Ship cold, employees wearing jackets and LOW humidity.

Have cruised with them 9 times previous. Shocking lack of cheerful, helpful employees. Expected service at least equal to prior cruises. Small stateroom amenities have always been a nice perk. Forgot shower cap, had to get one from front desk, same with extra washcloth. No omelette station at the buffet, only cold eggs (scrambled, sunny side up, etc.). Specialty restaurants low on staffing, had to flag down wait staff, condiments not offered had to request butter and jam for toast. Ended up eating Rice Krispies for breakfast as by the time the oatmeal arrived it was cold. On the plus side, coffee was tasty and hot!

Ship was exceptionally cold - we wore jackets every day as did the employees.

The medallion was a major improvement to overall experience. No more fumbling for “the card”!

Port Reviews

Icy Strait

Tour guide escorted us on 5 min. walk to picnic tables set up under a large canopy. Tribal dance - lady read from small book and actors pantomimed story. Seafood feast - reheated buffet with large round drink serving tray to be used as plates. After performance and “feast” the tour guide had disappeared and we had to find our own way back to the ship. SAD!
