Cabin: Balcony

We decided to take this cruise since it went to a few places that we have never been to before. Embarkation was very easy. We drove down. We had a 10:30-11am arrival time. Entered the parking garage. Dropped off luggage. Then found a parking spot. Got a spot on the 2nd deck. 3rd deck is nice because you walk straight into the terminal. Walked into the terminal, was directed to a lady who checked us in. Then went through security and got in line to get on the ship. By 11am we were aboard. Came in on deck 6. Went straight to our Muster station. Got that overwith then onto lunch. Decided to try the Big Chicken. It was so good. Walked around the ship while waiting to get into cabin. At 1:30 we were able to get into our cabin. Cabin number 102**. Nice Balcony cabin. Balcony is nice. Covered as well. Our luggage arrived so we put everything away. Explored the ship some more until sail away. It was packed up on deck 16 for sail away so we went to our balcony. We had Your time dining in the Palm dining room. We went down to the Palm dining room. They do not tell you this until you get there. Once there you have to check in on your Carnival App. Then wait until your table is ready. Once you get notification on your app that your table is ready then you can proceed to the dining room with one of the waiters who were standing by . We had to do this everyday at 5:15 when they opened check in.

We got seated at a table for 2. We got the slowest waiter. It was almost 2 hours for dinner. We missed a show. Decor looks like something out the of 1960's. Green colored carpeting with brown paneling. Food was good. We did the speciality restaurant one night. I had the broiled lobster tails. They were huge and delicious. One night in the Palm dining room they had lobster. They were small and you only got 1. Not as tasty as the speciality restaurant. The chocolate melting cake was so good.

We saw a few shows. However to get a seat for these shows you have to stand in line. Possibly abt 40 minutes before your show starts. Then they open the doors. They should have the doors open so people can go in and get a seat. The lines for the shows are long. They go right through the casino.

Cabin Review

Balcony

cabin 102**. desk and couch are near the door to the balcony. Bed is closer to the bathroom. Room is tight. Shower is very tight. bathroom is small as well. Balcony is covered. 2 decks down are the Havana cabins. Their balcony is a pergola. From cabin 10237 you can see right through them.
