First, my primary experiences are on the Dream class ships (Breeze and Dream) so my experience on the Vista left so much to be desired. The beds were spring mattresses and horrifically uncomfortable. The floors were full of trip hazards. The stairs in the atrium were so tiny and narrow on one side that adults couldn’t use it. The walkways on all floors except 2 were so narrow that two adults cannot walk side by side and if scooter was coming, good luck getting out of the way. There’s no non smoking casino and you can only get from one side of the 4th floor to the other through their unventilated casino so the entire 4th floor was unbreathable. The layout is terrible. The staff was great, the Playlist Fun Crew were better than I’ve seen on any other cruise and the food was okay. As per usual, Carnival does nothing to stop kids from being destructive and aggressive. We watched two teen boys punching each other in the face. The kids take over entire stairwells and won’t move when you want to pass. They throw food, steal door decorations and the curfew of 1 am is way too late.
