South Pacific, some good, some not so good.

Review for the South Pacific Cruise on Crown Princess

We chose this cruise as my retirement cruise. My wife and I met in Pago Pago 37yrs ago and wanted to go back. After spending enough time there,we figured this was the best way to revisit where we met. We live in Honolulu and have been to Apia, and Tahiti. We hadn't been to Moorea or Bora Bora before and later Bora Bora was cancelled and a extended Papeete stay was scheduled.

We booked on opening day and got our favorite cabin. A Cat ME mini suite on the Emerald Deck full aft with fully covered extended balcony. We Love sea days and this cabins balcony is the best place to hang out

We also have a place in Long Beach so not having to lug bags on a flight was very attractive. We love sea days and this cruise had a lot.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

E-7** Large oversized balcony. Bathroom in very good shape. Bed was horrible! Sofa has seen better days.

Port Reviews

Apia, Samoa (formerly Western Samoa)

Fantastic 7 hour private tour with Tropical Tours Samoa. Beautiful Island and great people.

Hilo

Raining as is usual for Hilo, when I did head into terminal bus to town was shutting down.

Moorea

Rented a small boat for 2 hours. Went snorkeling with the sharks and rays. Swam off a motu and saw a few honu.

Pago Pago

Got a cab tour for a few hours and visited some of the old places we used to go to. The hotel we met at has been torn down.
