We chose this cruise because it was very well priced on Vacations to Go and we liked the ports. Trouble was, we didn't leave from Venice but Chioggia. So we had to drag our bags from Marco Polo airport a LONG way to a bus to take us to Chioggia and we had to pay, ourselves, for the bus transfers.
Azamara redid their whole computer system in the weeks before we were departing so we could NEVER reach them and most people had to do their boarding passes at the port. Then, when the computers were updated, the prices of optional excursions increased by between $10 and $40 for same tour. We had on-board ship credits from Azamara and Vacations to go and charged our optionals to these but their accounting office totally messed up our account- we spend part of every day trying to correct it and left the cruise with a credit to our American Express which we have yet to see.
The ship is older, corridors and stairs narrow. We had a deluxe room but the bathroom, especially the shower, was still small. Our veranda was being varnished so it was not usable. The word tired comes to mind for the whole look and atmosphere of the ship: furniture, drapes, carpet.
We had a deluxe veranda room which was not inexpensive. The extra-long king bed ( really 2 twins pushed together) made getting from one side of the room to the other difficult. The shower was tiny and our veranda was being painted and varnished so we couldn't use it.
