Sail Date: Mar 2023

So this cruise was destined to be cursed from the beginning. I originally booked this cruise to leave March 14, 2020 on the Seaside. We arrived in Miami on Friday March 13, 2020 and you history buffs will know that as the day that COVID shut everything down so our cruise was cancelled. I made the mistake of opting for the future cruise credit instead of a refund. Rebooked the cruise again for 2021 and 2022 but the cruise was cancelled again. During all of the cancellations and rebookings, I lost over $900 as MSC refused to allow me to use the cruise credit difference for packages or excursions. Finally was able to rebook on the brand new Seascape for March 12, 2023.

Even before the cruise, I had nothing but problems trying to book packages and excursions through the MSC website. Could never actually get anything to book, always got the little icon of a ship going through water every time I tried to check out. Always got an error when I tried to add my credit card to my account prior to the cruise. Finally called MSC to book the excursions and several of the excursions we wanted to do were sold out by that point.

Embarkation - relatively smooth but they took new pictures of us even though I had uploaded pictures ahead of time during web check in. Apparently you can't have glasses on in the picture. Never asked us to link a credit card. Had info on dowloading the MSC for Me app. Downloaded it to my son's phone and my daughter's tablet. Was excited that we would be able to text with them if they decided to venture out on their own. NOPE! The app disables texting from cruisers under age 16. Seriously?

Cabin Review

Fantastica Balcony 122**. Room was fine. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom is so small you can barely sit on the toliet.
