We chose this cruise as it was perfect timing for our holiday in Japan. Our second princess cruise and we were excited for the adventure. From embarkation to the awful dining experiences our excitement soon evaporated.

Arriving at Yokohama ($170 taxi ride from Tokyo ) our bags were swiftly taken out of sight, our passports shown and our vaccination verification and we were rushed to a waiting area- In Group 29, about 90 minutes before we were called. We got to the front of the line and we were asked for our rapid antigen test, we explained that we were vaccinated, they told us “ No go back and do the test, its where you arrive” we went back did the test - not supervised, told to just take a pic with our passport and to go back- (less than 5 minutes) , finally get on board, meet our room steward and ask about our luggage- he was very unhelpful and referred us to guest services ( our room steward was not interested in helping us with anything) total flip from our first cruise. Our dining experiences night after night were poor, the service, the food and the ability to receive what we booked- like a shared or private table- were always changed, altered or told to ho to another restaurant were all bad, no one seems to care about the level of service they provide. Speaking with other passengers, we were not the only ones to experience this. The ships facilities were good including the Izumi Spa, the real issue was the staff, we also overheard some staff talking poorly about passengers after they had complained.
