Additional details

Sail Date: Mar 2023

This cruise, besides highlighting the Revolutionary War, was a Cherry Blossom theme. Since the blossoms were early this year, the itinerary was adjusted to include Washington DC first to be sure to catch their beauty near their peak. There were talks about the history of the cherry blossoms onboard plus excursions, including walking tours, which highlighted the cherry blossoms. All the art projects which were offered everyday were of a cherry blossom theme.

The American Constitution was docked at Washington DC's " The Wharf", which was in walking distance of the blossoms as well as offering many shops and restaurants for the passenger's free time. Many of the ports in the smaller towns offered attractions nearby and in the bigger ports, a shuttle bus was offered to museums and shopping.

This was the Inaugural cruise of the ship for this season, so there was much enthusiasm of the crew and officers. There was new furniture in the main lounge, and everything was very clean. The food was good throughout the cruise with half portions available for smaller appetites.
