Where to begin! I have friends that have taken over 9 Viking journeys both on the River Cruise as well as an Ocean voyage and they spoke so highly of the staff and complete experience from booking the trip, the tours and extras that are offered like the silver spirits package and more. I had to share in the experience first hand.
This was my very first cruise ever and I must say, Viking did not disappoint. I asked one of my best friends to join me on this adventure and she also had the most amazing time. It was our very first trip to Europe and it definitely will not be our last.
Every single person we came into contact with from being greeted at the airport to being welcomed on to the ship was so friendly and personable. The staff on the ship was AMAZING to say the very lease. To name a few, Kavin, David and Petru were incredible. The service surpass the standard. Ivan in housekeeping ( hope I spelled her name right) was so accommodating and kept our room fresh and clean. There were others like the Piano player Ryan who has this amazing talent and played beautiful music during cocktail hour and after dinner.

Wine tasting at 9am! Now that is vacation. We spent the morning at La Petite Cave taking a walking tour and sipping on
a glass of wine, well, more than one to be honest. The host was extremely personable and friendly along with his wife. I would recommend taking this tour when arriving in Blaye. And I recommend shipping some wine back home to relive the experience when back in the states!
