This was our first cruise, and we really didn't know if we would like the cruise portion (we knew the location would be fantastic). It really surpassed our expectations.
The crew, from top to bottom, was so welcoming, so kind, very attentive. We enjoyed talking with everyone from the sushi chef (great sushi!) to one of our regular servers in the World Cafe, Adam, to our lovely cabin steward. It was a good time, and we felt truly welcomed onboard.
Guest services was super helpful with all our needs. We enjoyed the talks with the historians/guest lecturers.
Very clean, and our cabin steward kept it neat after us.
I was super looking forward to Athens, and seeing the Acropolis. I was very disappointed (no fault of Viking Cruises of course) with how overrun with tourists it was. There was no order, and people just going wherever they wanted. I know it would be hard to control it, but this won't be preserved for future generations at the rate it is going now.
We loved this port stop, and were looking forward to it long before we embarked. It was so beautiful, and enjoyable. Our guide was super helpful, and we got to see a lot of the island.
One of my favorite stops. It was amazing to see, and visualize all the past there. It was fairly well preserved, I thought, and I hope that it continues to be somewhere people go to.
