This was our first river cruise. The countries and excursions were the draw to this cruise. We started in Basel and the cruise ended in Amsterdam. All the stops had shore excursions that were professionally guided. Some were walking tours, others were escorted and we were transported by motor coach.

The ships crew and staff were all wonderful and accommodating. Everyday was met with smiles. We had one day, when the French were protesting that ships were not allowed through the river lock. The crew made the adjustments, and treated all the guest well.

We cannot say enough about the professionals that we call the crew, the dining service, kitchen, guest services, lounge personnel, housekeeping, etc., they were all outstanding. We were disappointed to end the cruise but we are forever grateful for the staff that made this cruise so memorable for us. Read more
