Galveston is my preferred port to sail from. The Vista was newer and bigger than any ship I had been on before. I definitely got my steps in but I absolutely adored the Vista. I am sad that she is leaving Galveston but I have booked the Jubilee so I'm sure I will manage. :)

The passenger capacity was listed as 3,954, we had 4,200. The layout seemed to work very well as I never felt overwhelmed by people. There wasn't the usual crush waiting to get into the MDR. The shops area was never congested.

We finally saw that they brought back the Thriller lessons. A group of us went to that and then some used their new skills at the 80's Rock & Glow Deck Party. That was one fun night, until I realized that it was essentially a sock hop for the younger generations. That burned a lil' bit. Several in our group thoroughly enjoyed all of the karaoke nights.

Balcony

I was an avid Interior Woman until my first balcony in 2021. I hope to always be able to sail with a balcony, this one was no exception. I loved the big TV in the stateroom. I don't usually use the television at all on a cruise but it was lovely to watch an on-demand movie in bed on that large screen. The bathroom was less square than the older ships but I didn't notice the lack of space, the angle of the toilet made sense. I use a European adapter for my CPAP. I usually have to crawl under the center of the bed with the flashlight on my phone to unplug one of the lamps to be able to have my machine plugged in and not have the cord strung across the room. The plugins were behind the bed but to the side so it was so much easier to do this. I was also much easier to get the lamp plugged back in for the next cruisers. I really liked having the three drawers in the closet. It made the room feel more open without all of the old visible cabinetry.
