Sail Date: May 2022

This cruise was to be in 2020. You know what happened then. I think this was the first cruise allowed since Covid. We were tested before, during and after. Our cabin, Deck 3, was comfortable, clean & the small balcony was a breath of sea air. The crew was wonderful. How the cruise director always seemed calm & collected. Nothing seemed to phase her even an extra unexpected day at sea. The waiters at happy hour & dinner remembered who were & what you liked, Manhattens at happy hour and tea - not coffee - at dinner. Never had to repeat our preference. Food was beautifully prepared, delicious & the correct portions. Beef, seafood or vegetarian, they had it all. What was served was enough for a full meal with no leftovers. Entertainment was live & personal. I asked for a song very few knew but they found it & performed it perfectly. Because of Covid hand sanitation stations were everywhere. There was a Covid outbreak (Deck 3 was Covid Central I think) & at the crew handled it calmly & efficiently taking extra care of those who tested positive lacked for nothing even though they were quarantined. The passengers were friendly, outgoing & fun. With no seating assignments we sat with new people about every time. Made some new friends. Although the weather didn't cooperate all the time the tours were interesting and fun. We would use them again easily.
