This was a make up vacation for a cancelled oversea trip. We have sailed on the new and older Celebrity ships but prefer this mid-age Solstice-class ship for a good blend of service, activities and comfort.
First of all, I was a little shocked as the normal average passenger age of 55, appeared closer to 70 years old on this cruise.
The Good: Well maintained ship, service from everyone was beyond first class, the Passport Bar staff were standouts and the activities were just the right amount. Food quality in the Oceanview Café was the best we have had with lots of authentic tasting international selections. The Main Dining room was good however the service was slow though the quality of the dishes did not disappoint. Lunch in the Main Dinning was a nice change of pace from the normal buffet lunch .Of the two main choices for dinner the Oceanview Café was the clear winner with quality and variety which is not normal for me to rate so high.
Cabin was a little dated but super clean, with excellent water pressure and probably the best mattress I have ever had on a cruise.
