Ship has some design flaws! Loved the decor everywhere and the many more choices of where to eat within the cost of the holiday. Liked the water fountains built in, great idea. Bathrooms were designed better than the Azura (with shower curtains!) and the Britannia. The balconies on deck 8 were horrendous though! We paid £1000 more on a saver fare to have a balcony between the two of us. We always book a balcony to enjoy the views with a cuppa in the morning. You can’t see through the frosted balcony glass to have a view but you can clearly see people walking past and looking in all the time. Our balcony was also overlooked so you couldn’t sit out there in your dressing gown. We had spit landing in the floor from above. The cabin boy left the door unlocked on a few occasions so we felt uneasy leaving things in the cabin, you can’t fit everything of value in the safe, e.g my iPad wouldn’t fit so we hid this. People walk a lot on promenade deck so the constant flow of people was from early in the morning till late at night. It’s hard for people to see in during the day because of the tint but as soon as you put your light on in the cabin, you can see in completely from the promenade. So then you’ve constantly got your curtains closed and you can’t see the view.

There were other disappoints with the awful naming ceremony (for a select few only!) and Greatest days being cancelled last minute but other entertainment was quite good. Food was excellent everywhere.

I did write and complain about the cabin but they don’t care whatsoever, said it’s it’s their terms and conditions that you get allocated a balcony cabin of their choosing but it’s not the point. I paid for a balcony that you can’t see out of or relax in privacy or enjoy so won’t be booking with P&O cruises again on principle. Their lack of understanding of how they are misleading people is shocking.

Cabin Review

Cabin would have been fine if you could see out of the balcony and not have people looking in all the time
