We went on this cruise to celebrate a friends special birthday. Unfortunately I was stuck down with a case of Food Poisoning on the first day after lunch so spent my time in the cabin ill. I contacted the medical centre onboard but was very quickly shut down and hung up on (care factor zero) . Very poor form from the medical staff and failing to even ask any questions. This was documented to the NSW Health Department immediately after disembarking and they were very good. Unfortunately P and O have been informed of this incident via their contact us email but of course just brushed it under. I have since found other people that experienced food poisoning on the same cruise which was told to them but they didn’t care less. While I never actually enjoyed any meals my group of friends said food was average and served Luke warm - they said entertainment was very poor except for the last night with the dancing and singing and the music in bars apparently was very poor. We have been cruising quite a few times before but P and O are well below Royal Caribbean or Celebrity so that’s who we will be cruising with in the future.
