What a great cruise! This was our eighth cruise and it didn't disappoint. Boarding couldn't have been easier. We had the 11:00-11:30 time slot. We got to the ship at about 10:50 and were checking out our room by 11:30. That delay was because of customs holding up the show for about 20 minutes. The ship was very clean and bright and the staff were constantly keeping up with any issues that might have occurred. As a matter of fact, I didn't see any issues for the entire week. The crew was the most pleasant I have ever seen on any cruise. If they weren't smiling and saying hello then they were laughing or busy working. Our cabin steward was singing a lot while cleaning, I only wish I could be so content while working.

I have read that some people have been having problems with the food. In the MDR, I will admit that the portions have shrunk down from precovid size but I liked that part because it made it easier to order a second appetizer or main dish and know that I would finish what I ordered. There was a time when ordering a second dish was excessive and it was the old saying that your eyes might be bigger than your stomach. The quality was very good to excellent. The number of choices were plentiful. Nobody went hungry. We didn't eat dinner at the buffet so I can't comment on that but we did have lunch and breakfast there a few times and there was no shortage of food or variety.

The service was outstanding on this cruise. We had the premium beverage package and in my opinion it was well worth the extra cost. A lot has been written about whether it is worth it or not but in our case it helped to make our cruise. If we were on a cruise with a lot of ports and I wanted to do a lot of excursions, then I would have probably been satisfied with the classic package and spent more on the excursions. It was a pretty full ship so needless to say, the pool was jammed every day. Our daughter and son-in-law came with us on this cruise and it was their first cruise ever. They were very disappointed that they couldn't find a chair near the pool because of all the chair hogs. That was probably the only down side of this entire cruise. Well that and the casino wasn't very kind to us.
