We took a Rhine cruise in 2018 with Avalon. We had this cruise scheduled for 2020 but Covid cancelled it. So this was a makeup cruise. What a wonderful experience. The new boat was great. The food was to die for. Everything Avalon does makes you feel special. The crew from the director on down was magnificent. Everyone was always smiling and really made you feel welcome. We got to experience a concert in one of the opera houses in Vienna (super), took a bakery tour where we made filled pastries ourselves, and did a side trip to Salzburg. It is simply a gorgeous city! On a river cruise ship you see the same people every day and we had the opportunity to meet many new people. look forward to our next cruise with Avalon, which will be the Paris to Normandy trip or the Portugal cruise. Or maybe both!
Cabin Review
Deluxe Stateroom with Window
On both of our cruises, we have chosen an Indigo level cabin. We feel we are not in our rooms enough to justify the surcharge for a glass wall. We will probable opt for the same on our next cruise too! The cabins, while small, give you everything you need spacewise and the beds are very comfortable.
