Chose for a special birthday as liked the look and size of vessel when launched. The itinerary was very different and date worked well for us. all travel arrangements worked well and nice hotel overnight in Panama.Embarkation was very quick and shown straight to superb suite. Only one disappointment in cabin - the terrible and dangerous configuration of wardrobe door with bathroom door. Rest of cabin was well decorated with all mod cons, including coffee machine and kettle. Didn’t notice any difference between a butler and usual service. All restaurants were brilliant and food was well presented and tasty. The sushi experience and Lumiere being the highlights.
Submersible was an interesting experience. All tours well organised with Zodiac transfers ((mostly.)Beach opportunities were great and well arranged. Marine platform steps and transfer on to ship a bit challenging. All officers visible, friendly and prepared so sort out any queries.was concerned about the community feel of the ship but wasn’t at all a problem with beautiful spacious lounge with great bar and staff - as well as the trivia.
Well thought through design for expeditions but maybe lacks outdoor space for warmer climates, although we had 2 party and dancing opportunities. We were warned that there would be some TAs on board-but was not expecting it to be 2/3rds of passengers. Some of those TAs embarrassingly from U.K. as they were very loud and kept bar staff up late( not Scenic fault)
As mentioned before - good size- nice balcony- great to disguised in large mirror. Coffee machine kettle and mini bar. Bathroom spacious with good shower with 2 head alternatives. Very quiet air con.
Just the awful configuration with wardrobe and bathroom door- meaning you get trapped
